Welcome to the Alachua County Geographic Information System (GIS) Service Center. The GIS Service Center is a collaborative ‘Enterprise’ GIS framework focused on providing and maintaining geospatial data and accessible web applications for the use and benefit of Alachua County citizens. The Alachua County GIS Service Center has leveraged the resources of the Alachua County GIS Community to bring together GIS data and tools to better support citizens and community leaders in making informed decisions that impact the future of Alachua County and its local communities.
The Alachua County GIS Service Center strives to:
• Provide high quality data and analysis tools through accessible online applications.
• Provide the best available, accurate, and timely data for use in analysis and decision support.
• Provide high quality GIS products and services.
• Increase the availability, efficiency, and quality of GIS services.
• Strengthen Alachua County GIS Community Partnerships through coordination, communication, and collaboration.
• Leverage existing resources to: reduce duplication of effort; maximize efficiency; and reduce costs.
• Look to improve GIS data, tools, and services to better serve the citizens of Alachua County.
