Interactive Mapping
Welcome to the Alachua County GIS Service Center Interactive Internet Mapping Site. These map
servers have been developed to facilitate public access to useful information using data from
our Geographic Information System Database. Providing data via the Internet increases accessibility
while keeping down the costs to the public.
Our new map service implements ESRI ArcServer technology in order to display the various characteristics of
Alachua County in a spatially descriptive manner. The service is a combination of three maps, each with a different
focus consisting of related spatial layers and associated information, called “map tabs”. The first displays general
property data; the second displays property use and sales data; the third shows voting and administrative information,
including census data.
The oblique image viewer provides the unique opportunity to view 2008 aerial imagery from multiple
perspectives simultaneously. North, south, east and west perspectives are available in addition to the standard flat view.
Several measurement tools are available in addition to parcel and address searches.
This classic viewer released in the year 2000 showcases ESRI ArcIMS technology. This viewer is being replaced
by the new public viewer above. The user may quickly locate and view a map image of specific parcel by searching
our database by owners last name or parcel number. By zooming in and using the identify tool the user
may query general property card information and hyperlink to the detailed CAMA database pages. The user
may turn on and off layers and perform spatial queries such as creating buffers or measuring distance.
Data and map layers available to view and query include Tax Parcels, City and County Boundary, Zoning,
FEMA Flood Zones, Hydrography, Railroads and Major Roads.
